You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and extremely broad for me. I'm looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!

Thanks for your tips about this blog. One particular thing I would want to say is the fact purchasing consumer electronics items in the Internet is not new. In fact, in the past decade alone, the market for online consumer electronics has grown significantly. Today, you will find practically any specific electronic gizmo and devices on the Internet, which include cameras in addition to camcorders to computer pieces and gambling consoles.

I like your suggestions and they sound great, in theory. I've seen an actual small grp discussion with a retired officer which actually engaged the small group of 60 students. Yes, it was a discussion and even to the point of an argument between the retired officer and a few vocal students. But there was mutual respect and it made the rest think and reflect seriously on the issues raised - could tell from their faces. This was all very impromptu. Not expected. He just dropped in on us. what I'm saying is that if it starts being planned, authenticity and realism might just be the first targets to be shot. There are a no. of retired personnel who have done things for our security that are state secrets and not to be revealed, else they'll be put behind bars. Another issue is the no. of stories that our senior personnel have. If not many are sent are actual missions, there will be a lack of good stories to inspire - becomes very hollow. This is a real problem and will continue to breed cynicism over our SAF.

"Write letters to love ones while in camp? I remember seeing something like that in my first week of BMT. The letters are heavily vetted before they are sent out."

LOL! I think they were also training the military censors on how to redact sensitive info from personal letters, Vietnam and WW2 style.

The purpose of NS is not to defend the country but the status quo. Anyway 'thinking soldier' is a big pile of BS.

Write letters to love ones while in camp? I remember seeing something like that in my first week of BMT. The letters are heavily vetted before they are sent out. To the SAF, it is alright to be a thinking soldier as long as your thinking conforms to authority.

Anyone who doesn't see the irony is as brain-dead as the SAF generals.

First generation NS men train to fight for their new born country. 2nd generation NS men (our kids) train to ensure that foreigners get their cake and eat it. Same mentality goes for NS commanders. Stop kidding yourself with National Education, Iraelis do not have to fight foreigners in their own country for jobs and education.
