Wow. That was quite incendiary. Anyway, my two cents worth.

My best(est) friends are all of the Muslim faith but i told them quite candidly i will not consider dating someone from their faith at least not for now.

Its not racism, not precisely, no. Its just that, well, i think my religion frowns on conversion. I wouldn't want to be the proverbial Judas, disclaiming my God. I don't know. Anyone has this struggle?

If i am the government i think your society will be really stiffling. I do not appreciate dissention and certainly not the type of lifestyle as our current youths are living. All noisy and disruptive and all that. No sense of self-respect or restrain. Who the hell gave them rights to behave this way in public? I really hope their parents reap the BENEFITS of this upbringing.

And name me one instance where a major protest did not turn into riot? huh? All it takes is a SINGLE individual like me to disrupt the peaceful protest. A word of hatred, a word of anger or even spitting into the crowd of protests or lobbing a glass bottle into that crowd will do the trick don't you think?

Spare a thought for the emotionally weak and those unable to contain their emotions. Protests will do more harm than good, as my debate (mind you its only a debate) showed.

Goodness, i'm trembling just thinking of it. Maybe i need anger management. But so do the thousands of others who are as sensitive as me. Who gives you "cold, logical, emotional eunarchs" the right to call for protests when it infringes on the rest of our RIGHT to enjoy our peaceful environment without feelings running high?

I hate noisy teenagers and i hate people who talk too loud. I wish fervently that the government can lock them all up. But i do not insist they give way to me. So why should i be made to give way to them?

Personally, i don't care much for protests. I fail miserably in such situations anyway. The last time i was up in debate, i threw a chair at my opponent cause he was so smugly opposing my view, which i feel is reasonable.

What i'm getting at is this - in our quest for more freedom, we tend to forget our society is made up of many individuals with varsely differing characters. How do you guarantee these paeceful protests do not incite wave of anger?

I have personally sprouted explitives (i know its uncouth but shamefully, i am unable to control my temper) simply because this lady in front of me was grumbling about something i do not care listening to. I am certain there are many in society who are like me - react violently to provocation WHETHER it is DIECTED at me OR NOT.

The "fragility" of our harmony is to create fear. With the perception of fear, it allows for an authority to control.

"Nevertheless a prince ought to inspire fear in such a way that, if he does not win love, he avoids hatred; because he can endure very well being feared whilst he is not hated, which will always be as long as he abstains from the property of his citizens and subjects and from their women." - Machiavelli.
